A grief: postmortem
1) Successes:
Being able to preserve player position and creating different rooms. I also figured out how to make two keys necessary to open the one door.
2) Setbacks:
My background music would restart with every room as my game necessitated going back to rooms you came from. I couldn't figure out how to make the sound work on entering a door.
3) Lessons Learned:
I used Unity Forums to figure out how to keep the music constant by preventing object destruction.
4) Next Steps:
I would change the code so that the rooms would be preserved in the gameplay. Currently, rooms are reset when player re-enters them. I would also maybe add lives to my next game so the player has chances after encountering dangers. I also would have added verses of a poem or names of the grief stages as fading in on entering each room if I had more time. I maybe would add audio of poetry too.
